Hi,

I have been trying to find out an work around to delete tif files from a ruby script that no longer are open in the tif editor. It seems your aproach could be a solution.
Is possible to rewrite a procedure/function to delete a file based on the filename?

Juste une petite question, pourquoi s'em.. à capter l'activité du compteur de façon optique ? Un capteur de courant (une bobine autour du fil de phase) très classique devrait être plus efficace, faire moins peur aux agents d'EDF ;-), être totalement indépendant du modèle de compteur...

Thanks for this, I had the same problem in using File.new("filename...","w+) on Windows 7, Ruby 1.86. I would occasionally get 'Invalid argument' to a path/file that I knew existed. In my little testing it finally created the new file object after about 5-6 times. What a crappy hack.

Si tu utilises un PIC pour récupérer les infos du compteur alors utilise un PIC Ethernet style PIC18F66J60 qui gre l'ethernet en natif !

Pour le connecter au web, je te conseille la plateforme arduino avec un ethernet shield:

Il existe des version wifi, ou si tu veux être plus econome, tu peux utiliser de la radio moins chères, un excellent guide des modules radio electronique est disponible sur sparkfun:

Je travaille aussi sur un projet similaire mais moi je decode les trames de données issues du compteur a l'aide d'un PIC( J'ai acces a l'intensite , au KWh, etc..) et je stocke cela dans une eeprom. J'aimerai connecter mon systeme sur le web . As tu des idées a ce propos?
